Email settings in Sandbox

Hello Marketo Community, 

I'm doing some test email sends from our Sandbox and the unsubscribe link in the email takes me to our homepage instead of our unsubscribe page, even though the HTML appears to be correct. Is this due to the fact that the branding domain is different than the one in our regular instance? If so, can I simply replace it with the one in production for the link to work? Or do I need to set up a different one? Any insight is appreciated.

Hi Jillian, 

We had never set up a CNAME in our sandbox. We set up a new one and everything worked fine.

Mehgan - Did you find that you had never set a CNAME for your sandbox site or that you had created the same, which broke the link in your original instance? Any learned insight is appreciated.

Thanks Breno. In that case would I need to set up a brand new CNAME for my Sandbox in order for the link to work?

It is likely the CNAME is not set for the emails yet therefore the links will fall back to the default page.
