Editing emails that have been scheduled for a future date

Hi, I was told as part of foundation training that it's not possible to make changes to an email once it has been scheduled, even if it's scheduled for a date in the future.
Can someone clarify whether this is the case?
I've noticed that it's possible to cancel the scheduled campaign and then remove the email from the flow to prevent it from being sent but wanted to put this to the community to hear thoughts from others.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Editing emails that have been scheduled for a future date

You should still be able to edit the email if the email hasn't been sent out yet - that is, if it's scheduled for some time in the future - and at the time of send, it will use whatever email "file" is current.  Once the email starts to send (the smart campaign is running), any edits you make to the email will not be included - note that you will still be able to edit the email, but it does not necessarily mean people will receive that version.

Re: Editing emails that have been scheduled for a future date

Hi,

You don't need to remove the email from the flow to make changes...if you go under Schedule in the Outbound section, you'll see a tiny red X next to the time you've scheduled the campaign to run. Click that red X and you'll be prompted to confirm that you want to cancel the scheduled campaign.

Once you cancel it, make your email changes and then reschedule it.
