Do unsubscribed leads count in smart list status in schedule tab?

hi there!

I'm curious if unsubscribe leads are included as qualified members of batch campaigns. I know

Marketo does not send to any unsubscribe leads, but i'd like to better understand

if the "set to affect X leads" includes unsubscribed leads.

Thanks!
Alexis

Yes, it counts unsubscribed leads

The unsubscribes would also be counted in the "About xx leads are blocked from emails"

thanks!  So they are either included in"set to effect xx leads"or they can also be

included in "about xx leads are blocked from emails"?

Re: Do unsubscribed leads count in smart list status in schedule tab?

That's correct.  The first number is the number of leads that are specifically affected by the filters that you included within the Smart List of the campaign (doesn't take into consideration anything else).  The second number is to alert you that a subset of these leads will not qualify because of a variety of reasons (unsubscribed, email invalid, etc.).

This is why it's a best practice to create an "Emailable" or "Marketable" smart list that can be used in all of your smart campaign filters so that you filter these names out in the beginning.  It basically optimizes the process a bit.  Or better yet, run a daily/weekly campaign against your entire database that populates a custom boolean field (e.g., "Emailable Lead") with TRUE and then you can just filter on this single field in your regular smart campaigns.
