Do accounts in Salesforce get emails in Marketo?

Do accounts in Salesforce with email addresses get emails in marketo if they don't have a contact with an email attached to them?

Hi Lauren,

Jason is correct.  Marketo does not treat Accounts as records which can receive Email directly(except in the case that you are using Person Accounts, but this is a special case).  Only person records, leads/contacts, will have email sent to their email addresses.

Well, we have an email address field on our account page in salesforce but I figured there had to be a contact for Marketo to see it.

Never heard of Accounts with email addresses...the short answer is no, Marketo "Leads" are SFDC Leads and Contacts, not Accounts.
