Distorted template in outlook

I am creating an invitation from an HTML template and it is distorted in Outlook on the computer.  But it looks fine in gmail & fine in a smaller view on the cell phone.  Any suggestions in how to modity the format?  The vertical spacing is larger in outlook than the other formats.

I know there are email-testing services out there where you can send an email to get both a visual idea of how it would look on different clients, as well as suggestions on how to improve consistence across clients/browsers. Vertical spacing might be fixed by using "line-height" in your html or css code.

Unfortunately email clients all have different standards for rendering HTML and CSS. Outlook is notorious for poor rendering standards. Here are some resources you can check out that you might find helpful in figuring out what's going on with your emails in outlook and other email clients:
