Digital Asset Management solution for SFDC

Ok - I'm sure someone out their has solved this before. I'm looking for recommendations for Digital Asset Management solutions that can be tied into SFDC/Marketo. Ideally this would be a centralized system with meta information on each posting and we can track consumption. 

This isn't pure lead gen consumption - that part is easy with Marketo. I'd like to know when a salesperson forwards a link to a piece of content so we can tell if it is part of the opportunity influence. Ultimately would like to understand all digital asset consumption and effectiveness (both internally and externally) and everything can't be behind a form. Ideally content would be presented via a view, presumably SFDC and then the sales person can forward a link via SFDC or perhaps something like Sales Insights, and we can trigger off responses in Marketo.

Anyone already solve this?

I wrote a small post on tokens, in which I also explained a little bit about my content programs.

What I didn't share is that these programs also have sales emails for sales insight, and also triggers to track what's happening with it.
