Hey everyone! Anyone using custom activities sync in Marketo to push activities to the SFDC activity history section: https://docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/Customize+Activities+Sync?
If so, what activities are you syncing? How does it affect the SFDC sync? Does it impact the sync integration by slowing down performance? What does the data look like in SFDC that gets pushed? IF you can share a screen shot that would be great!

Do Not use this feature.
It will clutter your salesforce, cause space storage issues, it will make the activities in SFDC unusable because of too many data there and finally no one will ever look into it.

Thanks for the feedback! What if we sync only one activity like email clicks. Will that still cause space/storage issue? The sales team want to see all email activity (both marketing and sales) in the Activities section in SFDC.

It will still cause storage issues and will not fulfill your needs because Marketo will not post more than one of each activity type per day and per person.

Ah gotcha. So if they do subsequent activities, only the most recent one is posted not all of them correct?
AFAIK, only the first one in the day is posted, and the following are ignored, until the following day. In any case, if someone clicks 5 times, you will only see 1 of these clicks as an activity in SFDC.
You might want yo look as Sales Insight, that precisely provides this type of info.
