Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to create a New lead every time instead of updating the existing values/fields in SFDC when a person fills a form. So, the person who exists in both Marketo & SFDC but now he fills a Marketo forms with the same email id, we do not want to update his record but create a new lead altogether.
Thanks
Sushant
Hi @veera_kumar,
Can you provide a little more details about why you would want to do this?
Thanks,
Gerard
Hi Gerard,
Thanks for the response ! We would like to do so because every time a person fills a form, say for a different product he should come up in SFDC as a new lead and may be assigned to an owner related to that product. So we do not want just his information to get updated every time but we want to have an option where we can create a new lead altogether.
Thanks!
Hi Veera Kumar,
I see what you are saying, but it doesn't seem like an ideal solution. Are your products not related? Would sales not want to see what else they have purchased and look for cross selling opportunities. With a new record this information would not exist. Can you not create alerts and tasks that could handle some of this on the same record?
Possible Solution (Not pretty though)
If not, for what you are doing you could simply use the "Sync lead to Salesforce" flow step in the campaign that listens for the form fill. You could then assign them to a lead queue for the Sales Team. Salesforce does not allow "Contacts" to be assigned to lead queues, so Marketo would end up creating a duplicate lead in Salesforce. I would look into it a bit more before executing anything.
