Cold Calling Lead Source

Hi, all!

How are you attributing cold calls to your lead sources?  Do you give credit to the way they found the lead (ie: a list) or to the action (ie: cold calling)?  Or does it vary from call to call?

Hi Jen,

We decided to use Lead Source is a "High Level" field with broader lead source options such as Cold Call, Call In, Website, PPC, etc. To give more granularity to where the leads came from, we then added a 'Lead Source Detail' field where the specific forms, tradeshows etc are named.

So for what you're trying to do, I would either name the source of the list or the method of finding the name whether it be a 'list' or 'linkedin' etc.

This is just one way to do it.
