Batching required fields on a form

It would be nice if you would be able to select multiple fields to make required instead of one at a time.  Is there a way to do that?

The form editor loads the property sheet for each field at a time.

The solution, if you have access to developers, would be a short JavaScript setting/unsetting all or nothing.
It could be more granular, setting named fields instead of all.
