I love the idea of the new Advance BI Analytics platform but am struggling with something pretty basic and hope someone can help me out. I'm trying to build a Database Health dashboard to call out the items that need to be removed from Marketo. This includes outright junk, people missing emails, Leads that were never converted, etc. I can't figure out how to show a % of the total database for each of these items. We can't create new measures so the approaches in the Power BI community are not viable. How the heck do you create a card showing the % of total leads in my database that don't have email addresses?
Has anyone undertaken this type of database health reporting exercise in the new reporting platform that could give me some tips?
Hi @RichMissionSq,
Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but based on your description, here's something that might help:
If you're trying to display a value (like number of leads without email addresses) as a percentage of the total, try the following:
In the 'Values' section (After selecting the Column), click the dropdown next to the field you're analyzing.
Hover over ‘Show value as’.
Then choose:
This doesn’t require creating a new measure and might help approximate what you're trying to visualize..
Thanks @PeeyushSachdeva ,
I tried that approach and I just get a blank screen. BUT I also get errors that crashes the platform. I've opened a case and will revisit your suggestion once it is solved.
Hi @RichMissionSq,
Thanks for trying that out and for the update. Let me know once it’s resolved, and I’ll be happy to revisit the suggestion with you then.
