Has anyone else had their sales team ask about adding attachments and has anyone come up with a way around it?

If you are using Outlook 2013, our support for that will be rolling out with the June release so stay tuned!

Yes!

Once you have the outlook add-in installed your sales person can compose an email via outlook as always, add an attachemtn and click "Send & Track".

The attachement will not be tracked in any way shape or form, there will be no record of it in Marketo, but it will go through along with the email.

If you want to know if the recipient has viewed the attachement, the only way is to host the attachment in Images & Files (or elsewhere) and add a link to the file to the email as opposed to attaching directly.

Attachments often times get caught by spam filters.  I always upload my sales collateral documents, datasheets, case studies, and give my sales reps clickable links to send out.

Hi Reza!

We have the Sales Insight, but unfortunately, the plug-in doesn’t work for our version of outlook.   Will they be able to attach something once they have that?

I assume you have Marketo Sales Insight? Does your sales team use the Outlook Add-in?
