Add Events to the New Calendar

Is there a way that we can add our own marketing events to the calendar?

I would take Timothy's advice above. If you're unsure how to do those steps, take a look at the Deep Dive – Marketo Calendar & Program Schedule Views (view all three tabs): https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDeepDive?id=kA5500000008TsvCAE

Create a program "Marketing Calendar". Use this program to add "basic events" as Kim stated. You can book times, add descriptions etc. to each basic event. Could be an interesting way of using calendar, for example using agenda to see all the important meetings, releases, etc.

Share the calendar view with the team. This must be from the master calendar though. Filter the view to your liking.

Ultimately, I would like to use the calendar as our calendar for the marketing department, not just for marketo - is that possible?

Do you just want to enter a date up there that's not really confirmed? I think you'd just go into a program (there's two different calendar levels) and you'll see the calendar. If you click on and day, it'll pop up a name field where you could enter an event as a "basic entry". Then in the main calendar view you'd want to include that basic entry filter.

I haven't had a chance to use but I think that's how it'd work.
