2.0 Form: is it possible to serve same field twice?

Hello,

on our form number 1, when people selects Country is =  Canada or US > we show State and when they select another Country > we show them Industry.

However we would like to collect Industry for US and Canadian leads later in process.
Is it possible to add again the field only for US & Canada? If so, how?

Hi Cecile,

It's not currently possible to add the same field to a form twice, but you can have multiple rules for when it's made visible.  You could have one rule on the Industry field that says "Display Industry if Country is not US or Canada", and then have a rule on both the State and Industry(2nd rule) fields that says "Display State/Industry if Country is US or Canada".  Does that make sense?

would that mean that the field will show us just after?

Industry= Automotive

Would that mean that we would need to extend the number of fields displayed at once?

Hey Cecile,

Piggy backing on John, it depends. By adding this field with the show only if criteria, the fields below Industry would be pushed down one for US and CA Leads. EX.

Field 1
Field 2
Field 3; Country = US, CA

Next time they come...
Field 4; Industry = ?
Field 5
Field 6

But, if country is not CA or US, then the next time they would come...
Field 5
Field 6
Field 7

It all depends on how many fields you have in the form and how many times you want it to take for the form to be fille out completely.

That make sense? It's a little tough to type out.

I have set limit to only show 6 fields at a time.
Industry needs to be on form 1 for ROW and can be on form 2 for US/Canada
State needs to be on form 1 for US/Canada (and never be served to ROW)

I have tried to follow your suggestions. It's working good except the fact that we now have 7 fields displayed for US/Canada. Any possible workaround?

I can't think of one, unfortunately. The only way would be to capture two data points within one field to keep the number of fields at 6 for US and CA.

I agree with Jeff.  If you want to collectin Industry information on the same form you'll have to have 7 fields.
The only other option would be to have Industry collected on a separate form at a later time.
