Marketing Operations Specialist (Toronto)


We’re looking for a self-starter who is process-driven, has a keen eye for detail and a passion for marketing automation, demand generation and operations. The Marketing Operations Specialist role focuses on adding measurable results to all marketing campaigns and ensuring ROI by creating strategies that convert leads into sales qualified opportunities. This will include managing marketing automation projects, email marketing campaigns, thought leadership and sales enablement content, business process initiatives as well as CRM and data integrity projects. This position works closely with the Director of Marketing to drive all marketing demand generation and operations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

-Own and manage Snipp’s Marketo instance; everything from email marketing, to database maintenance to webinars and extensive reporting

-Develop and execute a variety of email marketing campaigns for prospects and customers including newsletters, product announcements, webinar invites and lead generating nurture/drip campaigns, employing A/B testing and dynamic content

-Manage and optimize existing marketing operations programs including lead scoring, the lead life cycle and alerts

-Collaborate with sales and senior management to develop creative and targeted campaigns

-Track and report on marketing KPIs including email metrics, MQLs and pipeline contribution metrics

-Write enticing email and landing page copy that converts prospects

-Create and manage SEO-optimized landing pages in the marketing automation platform for resources such as whitepapers, infographics and webinars

-Support the Director of Marketing in administering the CRM system – creating views, reports and managing data/business process

-Manage all lists and segmentation of the database, ensuring data integrity

-Participate in content brainstorms to develop relevant pieces to incorporate into marketing campaigns

-Assist with proofreading and editing of resources and collateral

-Oversee the marketing calendar and schedule key marketing activations


-University degree in Marketing or related discipline

-1-2 years of experience with marketing automation software (preferably Marketo)

-1-2 years of experience in planning & executing marketing campaigns, preferably to a marketing audience

-Experience with CRM systems or databases (preferably Salesforce)

-Exceptional writing and editing skills

-Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills

-Proficient with MS office, especially Excel

-Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

-Positive, energetic and creative personality with a team-oriented focus

-Knowledge of shopper marketing, loyalty, and marketing tech an asset
