About the Position
The Marketing Manager will work cross functionally to research, define, develop, implement, and manage demand generation infrastructure and SEO strategy, integrated campaign plans, and the overall lead generation process. Key responsibilities of the role include: growing and engaging our audience; driving web traffic through online campaigns; increasing digital ad impressions, click-through rates, and conversion rates; measuring and reporting performance of all digital marketing campaigns; and identifying trends in order to optimize spend and performance. Developing and testing new concepts to achieve constantly evolving goals, the role demands a go-getter attitude with a strong background in campaign management and communication. You will work with the Marketing Director and other FiscalNoters to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that include web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising. You are expected to rapidly learn, develop, and apply various skill sets across a multitude of disciplines, not just one marketing specialty.
You Will
Measure, analyze, and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) - Identify trends and insights to optimize spend and performance on an ongoing basis - Contribute to marketing content, including white papers, case studies, one pagers, user guides, videos, the blog, the newsletter, etc. that drive lead generation and customer retention - Plan, execute, and measure A/B and other conversion tests - Collaborate with internal teams to collect key insights and trends that lead to engaging campaigns for both prospects and existing FiscalNote customers - Develop marketing approaches that will optimize user acquisition, engagement, and retention - Plan, execute, and measure all FiscalNote events, trade shows and regional meetups - Manage our lead generation program through email, print, online, etc. - Manage search engine optimization, paid search, display advertising, and social media efforts to generate qualified leads for the sales team - Work with Business Development leadership to develop effective prospecting campaigns - Strategically build campaigns through segmentation; understanding how to leverage data to target key audiences - Direct web developer on best practices for maintaining a lead generation optimized website - Implement tracking to help optimize and improve conversion - Employ nurturing strategies to engage prospects - Build demand generation programs that focus on various trigger events within the cycle - Manage online marketing budgets, while analyzing performance and making adjustments as needed - Track and measure key marketing metrics across a variety of platforms for multiple campaigns using Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Marketo, and other tools
About You
Data-driven. Clever. Innovative. You leverage your B2B marketing background, along with experience developing and executing lead generation campaigns, to drive meaningful leads to whatever sales organization you support. You have successfully created and implemented process-driven programs, and understand the mechanics of automation and scaling. You are well-versed in the “execute, track, optimize” cycle that drives lead generation success, and abhor the idea of anecdotal evidence. Never succumbing to complacency, you are motivated by the challenge of building a demand generation machine like no other.
You Have
An undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, or other relevant field OR equivalent experience - 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with lead generation in a B2B marketing role - Expert knowledge of online email marketing/automation solutions to manage contacts, send emails, and track results such as Marketo, Eloqua, or Hubspot - Deep knowledge of and experience leveraging Salesforce as key component of the lead generation process - Expertise in using Google AdWords for SEO optimization and metrics reporting - Highly skilled written and verbal communication abilities - Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills - Detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and self-motivated working style
