Marketing Automation Specialist

Overview

The holder of this role will understand how to navigate marketing automation and CRM systems, ensuring that the different technologies work well together to support campaign workflows that will generate demand in the market.

The marketing automation specialist will be responsible for design, quality assurance (QA), execution, maintenance for automated marketing programs and email distribution. This role is tactically focused on the execution of marketing automation platform - Marketo- related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Understand overall marketing strategy and mix and execute specific components of that plan related to campaign design in Marketo
  • Build, test and manage automated workflows within Marketo including: digital lead tracking, email blasts, sales tasks and notifications, campaign activities
  • Enforce best practices in email deliverability, readability and conversion-focused design
  • Perform A/B tests on all elements of our marketing mix (lists, e-mail templates, landing pages, offers, etc.)
  • Manage audience segmentation ( Marketo and SFDC), including number of touches, engagement, unsubscribe and audience size and generate customer lists to effectively target promotions
  • Assist in the ongoing, systematic update and refinement of nurtures, lead scoring, and demand creation programs
  • Monitor email effectiveness metrics within Marketo and provide insight that will aid ongoing campaign optimization.
  • Work with Web designers/developers and content development teams

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, or related field
  • Must have a minimum 1 year experience working with a marketing automation platforms (preferably Marketo)
  • Proven Experience with digital marketing tactics and how they integrate together (email, drip campaigns, landing pages, forms, page templates, etc.)
  • Experience with database management/CRM (preferably SalesForce) and digital campaign optimization
  • Understanding of  workflow processes  and systems within a marketing/sales cycle

  • With a passion for innovation, keep on top of current marketing best practices and implement them to improve campaign performance
  • Results-oriented, with ability to accomplish project and team goals
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are required

  • Ability to work under minimal direction; self-sufficient and personally motivated to deliver excellent work

Knowledge

  • Marketing Automation Platform (preferably Marketo) Advanced User
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and the capabilities of content marketing platforms
  • MS Word, Excel, and Power Point experience
