Position Title: Demand Generation Architect
Type: Full-time, salaried
Hours: 40 hours/week
Location: Portland, OR


Lead Lizard is looking for a Demand Generation Architect to join our talented and dynamic strategic services team. This position is a junior role, primarily responsible for producing marketing assets and campaigns for use by our clients. It’s a stimulating and varied job: one minute you’re building out the business logic for a 9-month email nurture campaign; the next you’re wrangling an email so it looks the same on an iPhone as it does in Outlook – all while working in a fast-paced startup environment. 

Our ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven workplace and can think critically about marketing challenges. We prefer candidates with a technical background, but you don’t have to be a trained coder; just know basic HTML and understand the concepts behind modern web technologies. Above all else, you should demonstrate excellent time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a hunger to learn and grow.

Core Responsibilities

  • Produce and deliver marketing assets to client and internal specifications. Assets generally include HTML emails/landing pages, campaign reports, or specialized forms/code where necessary.
  • Build and iterate marketing campaigns for clients within a marketing automation or sales force automation platform.
  • Perform quality assurance on marketing assets and campaigns created by other members of the Lead Lizard team.
  • Assist account managers as needed with drafting documentation, reports, and other client-facing materials.


Necessary Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or additional related experience
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Superior written and verbal communication
  • Excellent problem solver, both individually and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail


Additional Qualifications (not necessary, but a big plus)

  • Understanding of basic marketing and sales principles
  • Exposure to marketing automation software (Aprimo, Eloqua, Pardot, etc.)
  • Advanced HTML/CSS fluency
  • Basic to intermediate JavaScript fluency
