Marketing Operations Manager

Do you live and breathe marketing technology? Do lead nurturing and lead scoring methodologies keep you up at night? Ghostery is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to be responsible to help grow sales using the latest marketing and sales technologies and best practices. Marketing automation experience (Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, or Act-On preferred) is a must. We are looking for someone with deep understanding of marketing automation; a team player who can lead and drive results in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate strong project management skills. The role will have a variety of responsibilities, including sales and marketing business process optimization, revenue pipeline and marketing program ROI analysis, and day to day campaign management.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and own all marketing programs utilizing Marketing Automation platform and Salesforce.com
  • Create and manage technical aspects of key marketing processes and systems utilized to generate, nurture, distribute, and report on leads
  • Roll up your sleeves and get the job done, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and display a passion for creative thinking. Execution on a strong cadence of updates is critical
  • Tactical execution of campaigns
  • Development of email and landing page templates for marketing campaigns
  • Campaign and list building in marketing automation platform
  • Build nurture and recycle program and lead scoring
  • Campaign tracking and lead source assignment including development of campaign ID’s, and other tracking mechanisms
  • Define business analytics, create dashboards and reports to measure marketing performance and contribution to both pipeline and revenue
  • A/B and offer testing
  • Database segmentation and cleanliness
  • Work in partnership with sales to ensure smooth lead flow
  • Introduce and promote best practices such as multivariate testing, segmentation, life-cycle campaigns, dynamic content delivery, etc.
  • Measure efficacy of current processes and redefine or innovate new processes to ensure maximum productivity
  • Develop writing skills to create original content to be used in campaigns

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 3 years of full‐time experience working in a marketing automation, demand generation or marketing operations role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a marketing automation platform (Marketo preferred. Pardot, Eloqua, or Act-On is OK)
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Strong workflow process a must
  • Understands the importance of marketing math and marketing science
  • Analytic experience using data to drive strategy
  • Ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment; take initiative to achieve results; meet short deadlines; and maintain a positive attitude
  • Continually curious about customer behaviors
  • Passion for using and learning technology
  • Basic web development and digital design skills (HTML at a minimum)
  • Excellent reporting skills with a solid understanding of reporting tools
  • Experience creating and managing PPC ads is a plus
  • High energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful
  • The ability to work both individually, in a team environment, and with cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem solving skills
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to take ownership of job responsibilities and projects without hand-holding
