We are looking for an aggressive, skilled and strategic Marketing Manager to own and manage our demand generation program at TrademarkNow.  From day-to-day running of campaigns and programs to strategic planning and budget management, you will be an important and critical member of the Marketing team, reporting to the CMO.  This position is based in our NYC office on East 28th Street, in Manhattan.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, executing and tracking marketing programs to generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) through in-bound channels (website, content marketing, online advertising, tradeshows, etc.) and out-bound marketing (prospecting and nurturing email campaigns) leveraging the Marketo platform.  Marketing programs will be both traditional and cutting edge.  This role demands both practical project management/tactical execution capabilities and creative/out-of-the-box thinking.

The company has invested in Marketo for campaign execution and marketing automation.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing and owning the Marketo platform for the company.  Based on your experience and proficiency with Marketo, you will implement ways to strategically an operationally expand the company’s use of the platform, develop ways to improve efficiency, and aggressively work to demonstrate increased ROI.


  • Sole owner and manager of the Marketo platform for the company – manage everything from campaign execution, database management, landing pages and content to Lead Lifecycle, Lead Scoring and Metrics management
  • Serve as the domain expert of the Marketo system
  • Generate new in-bound and out-bound marketing program and campaign ideas to generate MQLs for the company
  • Draft campaign briefs and communication with internal stakeholders to ensure everyone is prepared and ready to support the programs and make them a success
  • Build and develop workflows (marketing automation) to maximize user experience
  • Manage tradeshow strategy and execution – from exhibit and sponsorship delivery, to pre- and post-show support
  • Work closely with the Sales Operations Director to ensure smooth processing of leads and to support continuous improvement of the marketing-to-sales process
  • Work with outside vendors to coordinate efforts and ensure integration with Marketo, as necessary
  • Work closely with the CMO to brainstorm new campaign and program ideas, test new technology and approaches, and develop the Demand Generation strategy, plan and budget for the company
  • Maintain a “big picture” of all lead gen activity to ensure “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts” – make sure all campaigns, programs and efforts work together in harmony
  • Work closely with sales to review lead quality, and adjust to optimize lead scoring to ensure MQLs are high-quality and ready before they move to Sales
  • Build and optimize the tracking in every corner of buyer’s journey – track and measure marketing ROI and impact from lead engagement through to closure
  • Measure and analyze results to identify which marketing programs and lead sources generate the most leads, the highest quality leads, and the most leads that converted to clients
  • Maintain a healthy lead database in Marketo, cleaning out bad data and managing natural database decay


  • 5+ years experience managing sophisticated marketing programs through Marketo
  • Demonstrated advanced expertise and prowess in Marketo
  • Demonstrated success in online marketing and email campaign planning, execution and measurement
  • Proven results in increasing pipeline through MQL delivery from marketing automation
  • Understanding of maximizing user experience through personalization and automation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive and overlapping timelines
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to lead cross-functional project teams
  • Analytical mindset and passion for metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Marketo Certification a plus
  • Copywriting skills a plus
  • B2B tech experience a plus
  • Startup or early-stage company experience a plus
  • Global company and market experience a plus
