Tweak to new interface

I really miss the simplicity of having "Marketing Activities | Design Studio | Lead Database | Analytics" across the top. 

Switching between them (which we do all the time in Marketo) now requires a click on the magic ball thingy (the round Marketo ball), scroll to find the right location, then another click to select, instead of just a single click the old way. It's so much less efficient now.

It seems like there's plenty of room in the very top purple bar to add that "legacy" navigation back in.

I agree - though, an easy interim fix would be to make the MKTO Ball a hover and/or click element (depending on device :D). Also, remove the animation - just have the menu appear. It will be just as clean and save hundreds of hours in porductivity accross all marketo instances. 😄

Voted, though my workaround right now has been keyboard shortcuts: Alt/Opt + D/M/L/A will go to the respective areas of Marketo.

Thanks, Jeff. Yes, I've been using the keyboard shortcuts as well, but on a Mac, the option key is one you kind of have to look down at to make sure you get it right. If it were the command key, that would certainly be easier.

There is another idea for this already. Marketo will probably merge the two.

The thing I miss the most is easy access to searching the entire lead database. Before, when I was on the Lead Database tab, I'd enter the search term into the search window inside the main window, then if I wanted to search again, I just had to click on the Lead Database tab at the top of the page. Doing this just refreshed the contents of the main window, not the entire page (if I recall correctly) Now that tab is not clickable, so I have to click the SuperBall and then Lead Database which is an additional click in addition to a whole page reload.

Thanks, Amy. I voted for the idea in the first link you provided. Although looks like Marketo put a status of "maybe one day" on this which to me means never. 

To me, this is an example when design trumped usability.
