By adding further fields into the Assets class (Email, Landing Pages, etc.) further integration with Digital Assets Management platforms would be possible.
At present our Emails and Landing Pages must be approved for use - regulated industry - which requires an "export" (detailed below) and manage the approval in the DAM.
- Emails - send a preview, receive the preview, save or print as a PDF, upload to the DAM platform, start the approval
- Landing Pages - send the preview URL to a third-party platfrom to save as a PDF, upload to the DAM platform, start the approval
Once approved, the status of the Asset is then manually recorded in Marketo.
Drawbacks - aside from all of the manual steps, there is no alert or mechanism to ensure the Asset is removed fom use if it expires, or becomes unapproved. With additional fields in the Assets class, the DAM could contact Marketo, and update the Status field on an Asset, and be used to alert the Asset Owner for updates on the Asset.
