Localised Date/Datetime List Import

Localised Date/Datetime List Import

My Locale is set to Australia (Sydney) and Time Zone is set to Australia/Sydney (EST).

At the moment when I do a list import, I need to convert the date format from dd/mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy in the CSV file and then import. Once the import is complete, Marketo displays it as dd/mm/yyyy as desired. Importing datetime is more complex and requires the import format to be in Marketo timezone.

It would be great if we can import date and datetime in the locale and timezone set in Admin.

I've noticed a couple of other changes required to improve localisation.

1. We can't merge leads where one or both leads have a date field where the date is in dd/mm/yyyy.
2. The Email Performance Report displays First Activity and Last Activity in the wrong timezone.

Hi Ersel,

Thanks for posting this idea. I also wanted to let you know that item #2 you reported above is a bug and we're working on fixing it.

Hi Ei-Mang,

Thanks for the update. Any updates on item #1 and being able to import dates in the localised format (dd/mm/yyyy)?

Thanks,
Ersel

Thanks! Is Marketo able to let us know in advance before item #1 is rolled out? We currently import a list every morning into Marketo with dates reformatted to execute our daily batch campaigns. It's critical we are aware of this in case we need to make changes on our end.

Yes, any changes like this would be announced in our monthly release communications before being rolled out. Thanks!
