Faster Data Export

Depending on the list or report I am trying to pull, the speed of the data export can vary from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the number of records returned or the query iteself.   I would love to see improvements made around the speed of exporting data from smart lists, static lists, programs, reports, etc.

For perspective, when I first started using Marketo, a simple list with just a few leads would take minutes. And complicated lists would take hours or a day to complete.

Adam, totally agree with you that it has come a long way.

But if SFDC can do it so quickly, so can Marketo. I like this idea.

I have only be using Marketo for just over a year now and though generally speaking data export usually doesn't take too long for lists or reports with simple logic, I am finding that as our database size grows and the lists or reports that I need to export yield more results, the data export starts to slow down.

Is there a way to plug into the instance's database and export faster that way? I completely agree that it's so slow to the point of interfering with our marketing operations. SFCD is much much faster. Why can't Marketo get to that point?
