Calendar token ease of use

Calendar token ease of use

Here are a few suggestions I have for making the calendar token easier to use (across multiple related programs, etc)...
  •  The ability to pull in tokens to the top portion (subject, location, and maybe even start and end dates?)
  • Have the option to change the time zone. Right now I'm having to calculate this in my head and make sure it's correct for where the event will be held.
  • In the start and end dates, make the end date auto-adjust to atleast that of the start date instead of having it start on today's date. Obviously the end date will be on or after the start date (same with times).

Great suggestions Kim.  There is actually an existing Idea (Status - "We Like It!") for your first suggestion that you may want to vote for - Calendar Files - expand the use of tokens for all attributes.

I particularly would LOVE to have the ability to change the time zone, I don't trust my math (particualry around daylight savings time changes) and have had calendar files go out with wrong times (I think Marketo even had an issue with one of their webianrs).

Thanks for posting this!

I have used the ical token feature in my webinar confirmaton email. However it seems like there are some technical issues with the date(time Zone coversion) in that feature in Marketo...

when I downloaded and saved the ical in my outlook from the confirmation email, a wrong time is showing there. For example I kept 10 AM PT in the token-ical but its rendering some wrong detail when I downloaded it at my system( IST time zone)...Also I am not getting any other timezone drop-down except the PDT in that functionality...Plz  let me know if I am missing anything here?

PS: Earlier this functionality was working fine...but I experienced this issue today...Please suggest and help asap!

I am having the same issue with the time zone conversion in my calendar file - were you able to find a fix?

No I couldn't.. So I just removed the Ical Token and created a manual Ical and hosted that in Marketo...
and than used a calendar URL in my email template!
