Beyond the email address...

I understand that having the email address as the unique identifier is logical, however, there are many times when I need to append data (inlcuding adding an email address) to an individual that didn't have an email address for the original record.

What do I do when I know someone is in my database but didn't have an email until a particular campaign?

Do I have to create dupicates when I run a direct mail campaign against leads with no emails in my existing database?

What if I get an outside vendor to help clean my database? How do I get that additional firmographic and demogrpahic information into marketo without creating duplicates or bothering my SFDC admin?

I'd rather add additional information (purchased or acquired) to an existing record without an email address than create duplicate records... can you tell I HATE duplicates?

Having the option to upload a list against Marketo ID (as the do in SFDC etc) would be invaluable!!!!
