Auto-Populate Most Recent Email to Send in a Flow

Auto-Populate Most Recent Email to Send in a Flow

We have this campaign for when people subscribe to our newsletters.

One step is to send them the most recent newsletter.

But we have to manually remember to update the most recent newsletter in this flow though, when the new one becomes available.

IDEA!
Is there anyway to have the flow auto-pull the most recent newsletter/email in a program and send that out?

Sounds like this would be solved with the new Customer Engagement Engine.  You set up CEE so all new registrants go into a stream, then add the latest newsletter to the top of that stream.  New additions to the stream would get the most recently added content first.

But each time I have a new newsletter, wouldn't I still have to remember to put that new newsletter at the top of the stream?

Nope! CEE will take care of that for you. Please watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR-Q4BvS8Ag for a quick 5 minute demo.

Also, here's an article to help you get started: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000LAVuCAO

You will still need to add the new content to the stream.  For example, there is no logic in Marketo that says "If this piece of new content is of type "Newsletter", then add it to "Stream 1 of of Engagment Program" or change "Flowstep number 1 to Send this new email instead".

In essence, almost like a "Triggered campaign for Assets and not Leads".  Dynamically pulling NEW content is not supported either through Smart Campaign or CEE
