Ability to group custom Marketo fields in various folders

It would be great if we can have ability to group custom Marketo fields in various folders.

We use Marketo to send out emails to different kinds of emails for different kinds of audiences. Our service is used by globe trotting employees working for our customer companies. Apart from marketing emails targeted towards enterprise audience, we also use Marketo for end user notifications etc. 

For such end user notifications we frequently need to create custom fields in Marketo to merge their usage specific information. These fields are not so relevant for main marketing audience though. It would be great if we can have ability to group custom Marketo fields in various folders. That way, we can easily find appropriate field when needed.

In the interim, I am using prefix to the custom fields I create in Marketo to identify them.

I have the sameneed for the same reason. We are currently using the field naming convention to differentiate our web transaction fields from all other fields in the system.  Like you we are using Marketo to send non-marketing user notification emails via the Marketo API.

It would be nice to have the ability to create the folder and then drag and drop fields into the new folder viat the admin page.  Also, when you create a new field you shold be able to select the folder where you want the field placed.
