Sales Insights training for Sales team

How can my sales team view the Sales Insights training modules? Only our Marketing teams have Marketo licenses.

That is a good questions Sandy.....my organization ended up doing a customized traning session for sales, but if you can warm them up to how Sales Insight works beforehand, that is probably a good idea.

Michelle -- does "giving them access" mean that they need a license?  they all have Salesforce licenses and can use the Marketing Insight tab.

Hi Sandy! They need Marketo login access to be able to view the training modules in Marketo. To add to Taylor's point, we customize our training sessions for sales too because the SFDC instance will be different than the Marketo training modules. I also put together documentation with screen shots and instructions on which Marketo sales insight tools they should be using and also gather any feedback on the tool to send to the Marketo team to enhance in the roadmap 🙂

You guys have made some great points.  I believe Marketo will come in and do sales training if you would like.  There are several consultants that will also do this for you.  The cheaper way is to do your own training workshop with the sales reps.  I would look at the training videos, and put together documents like what Michelle talked about.  Michelle, would you be willing to share the documents you have put together?

For the reps that have further questions, I would make the video trainings available to them by giving them a Marketo login.  This shoudl not cost you anything extra.

There might be some Marketo Summit presentations on Sales Insight that you could look at as well.

Sandy's question is a good one. If you're going to publish a page that says "give your sales team this" with a link to a very nice page on Sales Insight, it should be something they can actually see without having to go set them all up with Marketo logins they won't ever need! This is pretty frustrating. Especially since the page for sales contains links to additional pages, so saving it out as a PDF or something like that won't really help. This is a great guide for them, but the reality of our sales operations is that I will not be able to get them in a room and run them through this, so it's just very frustrating. 

There should be some kind of downloadable guide, etc. for them or the pages shoud be viewable without logging in.
