    MCA Exam DetailsAm I ready for the exam?How do I prepare?
    • Approximately 60 questions
    • 90 minutes duration
    • Cost is $95 per attempt
    • The Marketo Certified Associate exam's minimum passing score is 76%
    • Exams are scored based on the number of correct answers divided by the total number of questions
    • Exams are proctored online by Kryterion
    • Before taking the exam, candidates must agree to the Marketo Certification Agreement

    To increase your chances of success, Marketo recommends a combination of:

    • Introductory-level knowledge of marketing automation
    • 3-6 months of general marketing experience
    • A minimum of 3 months (200-400+ hours) hands-on experience developing and implementing marketing programs using Marketo
    • A combination of conceptual knowledge and the business context of using marketing automation and hands-on experience using Marketo

    Marketo offers a Study Guide to help prepare for the exam. It includes topics, sample questions, and links to relevant Marketo documentation.

    • The Marketo Certified Expert exam's minimum passing score is 70%
    • Exams are scored based on the number of correct answers divided by the total number of questions
    • Exams are proctored in person by Kryterion at local testing centers as well as online
    • Before taking the exam, candidates must agree to the Marketo Certification Agreement

    • Foundational marketing automation knowledge
    • 1 year of experience as a marketing automation professional
    • 1-2 years of general marketing experience
    • 1+ years (800-1000+ hours) hands-on experience using Marketo
