Hi,
We are completing our Salesforce to Marketo sync in our sandbox environment. Our SFDC contacts are classified into 2 types (consumers and dealers). Consumer come through has regular Person Accounts and that is syncing correctly into Marketo; however, our Dealer Contacts are coming in, but the Account the Dealer Contact is assigned to in SFDC is not coming through and the Company section of that Contact's person detail page is blank.
Does anybody know what the issue might be or what I should check with this kind of setup? We did already make sure the sync user has full access.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Do you work with different record types for consumers and dealers? If yes, make sure Marketo sync user has visibility over both record types. One way to figure it out is to log in directly to your SFDC instance with the Marketo credentials and search for records. If you cannot see any dealer records, this means Marketo sync does not have visibility over the record type. As Chris mentioned, talk to your SFDC admin to grant more rights for the Marketo sync user.
I would check with your Salesforce admin.
The Marketo Sync User is subject to the data visibility rules that your Salesforce administrator grants it via the CRM, so there may be an issue in that regard where the Salesforce permissions are hiding those records.
Chris is right, it's also worth checking in Marketo in the Data Management in Admin, that the CRM Field Map isn't empty for the expected fields. If they are empty, it's likely a visibility issue that SFDC needs to grant access to on the Marketo user.
