Leveraging tokens in email templates for Sales

Good afternoon,
we're trying to setup and QA some new email templates for our sales team to leverage and we're getting some unexpected results.

If we transfer a lead from Rep A to Rep B for QA, and Rep B immediately sends out a template-based email, the token information will pull from Rep A.

Is it possible to add a "wait" or "sync" to the flow when reps send out an email using a template to make sure the tokens (in this case, within the reply to address and signature) are correct?

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Leveraging tokens in email templates for Sales

Are you transferring ownership via SFDC or Marketo? Is the email being sent via Sales Insight or a Marketo campaign?

Whoever has ownership of the Lead should have their information populated when the email is sent if using tokens. But, if you are switching ownership via SFDC, then send an email via Marketo campaigns, the change in ownership probably had not been synced. We have slowed our sync down to every 30-35 minutes.

To my knowledge, is there no way to prevent, or add a wait step, to emails sent from Sales Insight.

You can add a waitstep if, rather than sending emails, your Reps request campaigns for each email.  The downside is they won't be able to preview or edit the email.

Its also worth checking if the signature is actually Rep A, or if the signature is showing the default and this is Rep A.  Depending on how the emails are sent, the tokens may not pull the information at all.
