Engagement Stream - Emails vs. Programs

I'm wondering is there a benefits to have default programs inside of an engagement stream vs. using emails. See the screen shot below. Or should we always just use emails in the steams? What is the easiest - but also most beneficial for reporting purposes?

Re: Engagement Stream - Emails vs. Programs

Hi Kelley,

The only added use of programs as nurture stream items is if you need to apply additional flow steps as part of a cast.  If the only functionality of your programs is to send an email, than it is far simpler to add emails directly.

Re: Engagement Stream - Emails vs. Programs

In discussions with Marketo I learned that if you want your reporting success metrics to align in RCE using programs vs. emails is a better choice. Therefore I'll being utilizing programs.
