Reflecting back on GDPR and thoughts on Next Steps

With the GDPR storm slightly calm now, its interesting to reflect back on the thoughts we had shared over this recorded webinar at the time. Although May 25th has passed and by now, hopefully every one has procedures in place to comply with GDPR, I think it is a good idea to think about it as an ongoing process to make the right changes at the right time and make sure we still remain compliant with GDPR in future as well. A couple of questions that crossed my mind are:

  • What is the time limit before which we have to seek consent from leads who have already provided consent before May 25th? Or is it even necessary?
  • Is there a GDPR cheat sheet out there that defines ongoing procedures which needs to be adhered to from time to time?

Although I understand that a company's legal team has a major say in how the above procedures are drafted in the privacy policy, it would be interesting to know what my fellow marketers think about it! Any thoughts would be most welcome!
