...Seems like if you use Marketo custom fields for the subscription info you will not need to have these fields on the lead layout in the CRM. You may choose to have the preferences as part of the campaign history in salesforce though...
Thanks Mark. We're currently using a different type of CRM system (InterAction) so we're hoping to keep the subscription history in this CRM in sync with Marketo.
The salesforce aspect is good to know since we're strongly considering a switch to salesforce eventually.
