I recommend removing the extension, revoking and reissuing the add-in license in Marketo, and then reinstalling the extension. If that doesn't do the trick you'll probably need to open a support ticket.
I had the exact same issue when I tried to use the Gmail extension. I ended up finding the answer on the Chrome store of all places!
It turns out the google multi-account feature doesnt work well with the extension. If you use the multi-account sign-in, try signing out of all your google accounts, and then sign into only one.

Adriel's solution was ours as well...if you are signed in to multiple Google accounts, the plugin doesn't work correctly.
Ok this technically is user error however in my defense the instructions were poor. When you get to the below screen you need to click the text first and then the Verify button...then log out and back into Google. Seems to work now. Thanks communtiy for all the suggestions...I do think that Adriel is correct that you should make sure your in only 1 of your accounts.
