How can we stop synching SFDC leads/contacts that are deleted from Marketo? Can we use a field in SFDC called "receive marketing materials" and if unchecked and the lead in Marketo is deleted/nonexistent SFDC will not synch the person to Marketo? The scenario is unsubscribed leads in Marketo are deleted, but they get back in because the person lives in SFDC. Would love to see a blog/white paper about how to handle this scenario.
Hi Jason, The best way to do this is via Sharing Rules in SFDC. I would work with your SFDC Admin to hide records from the Marketo Sync User when the "Receive Marketing Materials" field is checked. This will prevent the lead/contact from syncing back down to Marketo.
