Episerver is looking for a Marketing Operations Manager, who will be responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining our marketing technology stack with the goal to gain a competitive advantage with our use of technology. You will also be responsible for providing actionable data to the marketing team to help us make better decisions.

Full job description:

The ideal candidate will establish a holistic long-term strategy, as well as address short-term needs. The work requires collaboration with the marketing team and partnering with other departments and will require strong informal leadership skills. We believe a human-centered approach is fundamental and understanding the interaction between people and technology is essential.

 

As a Marketing Operations Manager you will:

  • Business ownership of existing marketing technology apps, specifically our marketing automation system (Marketo) and marketing functionality in our CRM (Dynamics) along with our website analytics tool (GA)
  • Represent the marketing and business development organizations in partnership with sales operations and IT to define, implement, adopt and optimize marketing infrastructure
  • Plan for additions and changes to the marketing technology stack
  • Build reporting tools/dashboards for the team that will enable live reporting as well as end-of-month/quarter reporting for key metrics, including lea generation, pipeline generation, and attribution analysis
  • Maintain documentation for marketing processes and their implementation in web/marketing automation/CRM systems; be a super user and a go-to expert for how to best use our marketing tech stack
  • Increase productivity within the Marketing and Business Development team, including building scalable campaign and nurturing flows and templates in our marketing automation system, and implementing system support for our ABM process
  • Proactively monitor the health of the applications and processes, including active usage and the growth of pipeline creation
  • Take strategic ownership of data quality, including master data management for Marketing and provide the framework for regular reporting capabilities across the team
  • Act as marketing’s subject matter expert on data privacy and ISO compliance

 

About you:

  • Education or equivalent experience in digital marketing and/or marketing operations
  • You have a passion for marketing technology, and for enabling people by software
  • You have 5+ years of experience of B2B marketing operations in a large and distributed marketing team
  • You are highly structured as a person while still being able to adapt to new circumstances
  • You are highly proficient in Marketo (both operationally and configuring/deploying), CRM (ideally both Dynamics and Salesforce), and Google Analytics
  • Working exposure to other marketing technologies; ideal if experience scoping integration of tools with the marketing tech stack and experience with account-based marketing tech
  • You have experience with Microsoft Power BI or a similar business intelligence suite
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, Privacy Shield, GDPR, CCPOA and related data protection and privacy law/initiatives
  • You are curious and like to learn new things
  • You communicate clearly and effectively and adapt your communication to the recipients’ needs (fluency in English is a requirement)
  • You understand people’s motivations and skills, and how they interact with software
  • You are structure and process-focused
  • You are accustomed to working with agile methodologies, such a Kanban or Scrum
  • Experience of business intelligence analysis is a plus
