no email notifications in salesforce when use marketo to set salesforce task notifications

Salesforce Task notifications are not being sent

 

I'm setting up a program in MKTO where one of the flow steps is to create a task in SFDC and notify the assigned-to user. I've done this many times in the past, and it's always work, but for some reason the task assignment is not notified through the mailbox even though settings in the MKTO smart campaign is correctly configured.  The task is created correctly, but the notification that is automatically sent out via SFDC is not firing. Do you know why that is? Here's an example of a task that was created, but without a notification: Attached is a screenshot of the MKTO flow step config, FYI.
