The Impact You Will Have:

The Demand Generation Manager will join the Chicago based marketing team and will help to build our global capabilities.  As a key member of the Miller Heiman Group Marketing organization, reporting to the Director of Demand Generation, this individual will play a critical role in the implementation of the lead pipeline and will own the day-to-day management and use of the Marketing Automation System (Marketo) and its integration with Salesforce.com. The Demand Generation Manager will combine a mastery of inbound marketing, lead generation, digital marketing, and marketing automation and will maximize usage of Marketo functionality to optimize marketing programs and correctly track lead interactions across marketing channels, implement system governance across global users, and align data and processes to closed-loop reporting. Ability to collaborate within the organization (IT, global marketing and sales) and outside (Marketo, marketing consultants, marketing technology vendors) is required for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Day in the Life:

  • Work as much with sales as with marketing; this individual should be extremely comfortable living in both worlds
  • Scope, create, and test global nurture programs that align content offers to the buyer’s journey
  • Work with marketing leaders to define cross-channel marketing initiatives and align Marketo programs to meet defined goals
  • Work with the Director of Demand Gen to create a B2B demand gen program that is best-in-class by collaborating across the organization to fill the funnel with high-quality leads that quickly convert into high- quality opportunities at the expected volumes
  • Optimize existing personas, lead-to-opportunity funnel, content marketing and thought leadership programs
  • Generate reports in Marketo and Salesforce.com to identify trends and benchmark and track progress of global marketing efforts
  • Balance the investment in ROI-oriented marketing with experimentation, testing and innovation
  • Work closely with our product organization to identify opportunities to improve and grow specific lines of business; analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, methods, costs and results
  • Keep up with key marketing automation industry best practices and identify ways to best leverage trends to support marketing initiatives

QUALIFICATIONSWhat You'll Need:

  • 4-6 years of marketing experience working on a demand generation programs
  • 2-4 years of experience working in Marketo & Salesforce (Marketo certification a plus)
  • Extensive experience in lead-focused-website design, email optimization, search, ppc, social, pr and content
  • Self-starter that thrives on working in a fast-paced environment with global responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Excited by the task of being part of a global team and worldwide processes related to demand generation
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters preferred
