We had two contacts in salesforce with the same email address. Marketo merged the records and now we lost all the data on one of the records. Is there any way to get the information back on the contact that was lost in the merge?
If the records were merged in Mkto, the data should have been added and you should've been given the choice to choose which value you wanted where there was conflicting data, or you can create a new value. Check the Activity Log of the Lead, it does a pretty good job of telling you what was updated.
