Preheader text and "View as web page"

Preheader text and "View as web page"

Hi there,

I’m trying to optimize the preheader text in our emails. However, the “View as web page” text defaults to the top of the page and therefore boots out our preheader text.

I’m looking for a way to customize where the “View as web page” text appears so I can insert preheader text before it. Is there any way we can insert copy before “View as web page” or move the “View as web page” option?

It looks like a few other people are having this issue. Any help?

Re: Preheader text and "View as web page"

Hi Allison,

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but by goin to Admin -> Email you can edit the View as Web Page HTML & Text.

Re: Preheader text and "View as web page"

Thanks.

That's not quite it, but close. I want to be able to control what shows up in the preview pane as preheader text. If you select "View as webpage" as an option, it automatically inserts that text in the preheader.

The preheader text will need to be different for each email, so changing the default "View as Web Page" HTML & text won't work.

Re: Preheader text and "View as web page"

I'm trying to find a way to edit the preview text as well, especially when optimizing for mobile. I still want to include the "Click to view in a browser" link, but need a way to edit how the preview shows up.
