    Marketing Operations Specialist - Marketo - Contractor

      Barracuda Networks is seeking a hands-on, high capacity Marketing Operations Specialist who will manage the systems required to generate consistent and high-quality lead flow, increasing our MQL to SAL conversion rates and improving sales productivity. The ideal candidate has utilized various aspects of the Marketo system and will help Barracuda to deploy all applicable features available to drive improved full-funnel Marketing performance. This role will enable our marketing and sales teams to efficiently connect with our global target customer/partner base. The focus will be on making a direct contribution to the continued growth of Barracuda’s sales and marketing organization.

       

      Responsibilities include:

      Implementation:

      • Work with implementation partners and internal subject matter experts to facilitate the best-case implementation of Marketo into our organization
      • Prepare for and facilitate data transfer between current MAP and Marketo
      • Help to reconcile data between multiple sales and marketing systems

       

      Day-to-day work in Marketing Automation System:

      • Serve as the primary Marketo administrator; overseeing the development, implementation and the ongoing management of Marketo platform. Document processes as necessary
      • Responsible for onboarding new Marketo users, ensuring best practices and protocols are followed and coordinating ongoing Marketo training for the org
      • Ensure leads flow through to Salesforce.com correctly
      • Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues, A/B Tests, nurture campaigns, email deliverability issues and other key marketing ops functions
      • Working with Marketing Team members on smart list development, persona targeting, trigger-based campaigns and other Marketo best practices
      • Support integration testing and maintenance for key technologies to support programs, events, and digital marketing
      • Maintain lead scoring models and work with relevant teams to monitor, review and adjust the models as necessary
      • Expediting Marketo support tickets and interaction to address operational issues that cannot be solved internally

       

      Data and Reporting:

      • Own Marketo data
      • Build, execute and maintain processes for data uploads to Marketo and/or Salesforce.com as required
      • Monitor and maintain data quality in the database by regular execution of data cleansing processes and development of new methods as needed
      • Monitoring and remediation of naming convention of campaigns, the requirements of leads/contacts/accounts information, and guidelines and best practices
      • Analyze, monitor and maintain reporting on campaign performance metrics for Marketing Team members and executives. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders and business marketing teams to improve backend tracking, reporting and results

       

      Support:

      • Partner with marketing team to ensure objectives are administratively supported and managed effectively for timely completion
      • Work with Sales Operations to identify any gaps in the current process and proactively resolve the issues and make recommendations to improve process
      • Support the planning and implementation of projects handled by the marketing ops team

       

      What you bring to the table:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
      • 2+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, working in a B2B environment
      • Experience in Marketo and Salesforce.com
      • Must have strong attention to detail
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate technical issues to a non-technical audience (and vice versa)
      • A motivated self-starter with a high sense of ownership. Thinks ahead of problems and acts proactively
      • Creative problem solver
      • Proven analytical ability
      • Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
      • Excel skills a plus
      • Knowledge of HTML a plus
      • Knowledge of cutting edge Demand Generation strategies a plus
      • Marketo certified a plus
      • Salesforce.com certified a plus
