    Experiencing Unusually High Delivery Rate?

      Hello Marketo Community,

       

      Wondering if anyone else has experienced a suddenly high delivery rate lately?

       

      We are definitely not complaining, this must be a good thing! But, it does seem suspicious. We are in the process of looking at how to improve our delivery rate, but we haven't actually implemented anything yet. We are on a dedicated IP as of last year, and we already had a good Sender Score prior to that spike.

       

      We noticed that emails sent on or after May 3rd have had a 98% delivery rate or higher (and got LOTS of 99.9, 99.8). Our usual rate is between 94-96%. What's happening!?

       

      We asked support, but they just told us it was good news.

          Clara,

           

          That's a good improvement, but not a considerable adjustment compared to your average that I would classify as unusual. If this was a 15% jump, then I would look into what you have been doing and to keep going with it. Realistically I imagine it must have had to do with who and what you were sending since May 3rd.

           

          Perhaps the explanation is:

          - you emailed more clients this past week, thus these email addresses are more verified and more likely to deliver and will increase your overall delivery rate

          - you emailed less prospects this past week, this these email addresses are less verified and less likely to deliver and will decrease your overall delivery rate
