About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious, hard-working, data-driven Marketing Automation and Operations Manager with 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, managing, and optimizing integrated demand generation campaigns in Marketo and similar tools. This starts with owning all aspects of our marketing automation from building/executing email programs to enforcing/streamlining email data governance, reporting, segmentation, and database cleansing. You’ll be the liaison between marketing and engineers to manage the implementation and day-to-day operation of marketing automation processes and tools. You’ll capture and analyze key metrics, provide post-campaign analysis and work with the team to optimize performance and ROI for all marketing programs. Also you have performed system migrations & integrations before with SalesForce.



Campaign Owner

    • Design & Develop:
    • Design, develop and implement demand generation programs in Marketo
    • Create emails, forms and reports within Marketo
    • Serve as a ‘hands-on’ marketing automation resource for email marketing campaign requests
    • Segmentation & Testing:
    • Manage A|B tests, and continuously optimize email templates and forms
    • Define segmentation and audience groups to  align messaging and manage communication frequency and priority
    • Set up, testing, execution and reporting on Marketo-based campaigns for lead management, lead nurturing, lead scoring and lead routing
    • Work with team to review program requirements and identify areas of optimization, update progress on email marketing campaign and programs
    • Reporting:
    • Develop and execute email campaigns end-to-end from target identification to post-campaign reporting
    • Manage ad run weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings review campaign reports & growth


Serve as the Email Data Expert (Front-end & Back-end )

    • Automate, improve, and maintain data integrity, data management initiatives, including segmentation implementation and analysis, list management, and lead processes in Salesforce.com
    • Manage prospect and customer database including creating and updating lists, segmenting data and list hygiene.
    • Perform day-to-day system maintenance and configuration of Marketo and be the system super-user, driving improvements and best practices
    • Communicate with engineers and appropriate counterparts across teams to share and leverage best practices and provide coaching as needed
    • Be the lead on troubleshooting with engineers and product owners when a campaign is not operating as expected.


Partner with internal Salesforce admin

    • Ensure proper Marketo/Salesforce integration for lead management, lead scoring and lead routing
    • Understand and oversee the management and continual optimization of the flow of leads through the lead lifecycle across the various funnel stages and operational processes (i.e. capture, nurture, score, distribute, close)
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand desired capabilities and determine feasibility


Key contributor to the Life-cycle marketing team

    • Build and constantly improve company’s email marketing strategy, test plans and overall program development while creating new flows, and nurture campaigns for prospects and customers
    • Participate in end-to-end management of operations for lead lifecycle email campaigns including target identification, building, testing, and post-campaign reporting
    • Educate marketing and sales teams on how to best leverage current functionality
    • Assist cross-functional teams in building and managing email marketing programs and campaigns



    • 3+ years’ email marketing experience, including 2+ years’ experience as a power user/admin of the Marketo platform required
    • Demonstrated success executing email campaigns with expertise using Marketo including database management, smart-list development, setup, testing, launching and scoring of campaigns and programs, and reporting on campaign analytics
    • Marketo certification is highly preferred. Experience with SFDC, other marketing & sales tools including webinar platforms, reporting tools, project management tools is a plus
    • Demonstrated track record of success with Marketo including: marketing activities, design studio, lead database, and reporting, creating lists, landing pages, nurture tracks, and promoting event
    • Deep knowledge of integrating Marketo with Salesforce.com, Website, and other systemsKnowledge of HTML and basic CSS for cosmetic edits and alterations
    • High attention to detail and accuracy despite deadline pressure
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to apply creative thinking and sound reasoning, and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
    • Collaborative, upbeat work ethic where you can take ownership and have fun
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
