      OVERVIEW

      The Silicon Valley Bank Digital and Creative Marketing team is seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Contractor to oversee and implement a new distribution process for company-wide client communications.  Leading an internal team of Marketo experts, the Senior Marketing Automation Contractor will work closely with internal constituents that span Marketing, Product, Operations, Servicing, and Compliance to understand and map out email communication needs throughout the year, and execute all campaigns.

       

      The Senior Marketing Automation Contractor role is a full-time contractor role based in either the SVB San Francisco or Santa Clara office.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      The Senior Marketing Automation Contractor will design, implement and manage a pilot communications process that creates a high quality client experience and meets SVB communication goals.  Specific responsibilities include:

      • Create an intake process to understand and calendar all client communications across the year
      • Map all proposed communications at the client level to determine overall client reach/impact
      • In partnership with digital leaders and other internal constituents, build out a rules-based engine for communications designed to maximize overall client experience
      • Utilize Marketo as the singular distribution channel for all of our client communications
      • Manage a team of Marketo experts to prepare, schedule and send all client communications
      • Identify and prioritize communication types to maximize delivery and the client experience
      • Establish and deliver regular campaign, channel and deliverability reports and analyses, with the purpose of increasing ROI on campaigns and driving efficiency within the channel
      • Report on progress and pain points of the new model to leadership in advance of a broader roll-out
      • Other marketing automation tasks as needed

       

      DESIRED SKILLS

      The ideal candidate is passionate about client communications, an experienced digital marketer with hands-on experience using all aspects of Marketo, wants to make a fundamental difference executing against a new communication approach.  Specific desired skills and experience include:

      • 5+ years marketing automation experience
      • 5+ years hands-on Marketo experience, with deep understanding of its capabilities and assets
      • 5+ years of collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams and business units, and direct people management experience
      • Experience juggling competing priorities, and managing, prioritizing and scheduling communications to meet business needs while ensuring premium client experience
      • Seasoned project management skills, a strong sense of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, while juggling and meeting multiple deadlines.
      • Strong technical understanding and ability to understand how Marketo aligns with other internal platforms
      • Experience and comfort with databases, data manipulation, Excel and data deduping is a plus
      • A client-focused lens, real world experience to map out ideal client communication plan based on industry learning, client rest strategies, etc.
      • A self-starter and a solid team player who owns his or her success metrics
      • Possibility of contractor conversion to full time position (TBD) after demonstrated success
      • Certified Marketo Expert credential a plus
