GDPR Privacy Policy Language on Forms

    Christian Bogue

Hi all, my first discussion question posed to the group. Does anyone have any examples of best practice text to display on Marketo forms that show the privacy policy access? I'm following Marketo's 40 page "GDPR and the Marketer" guide and getting started on Compliance Scenario 1. Do we need to get very specific like "this webinar will be emailed to you," or can we simply say "we value your privacy," and include a link to the policy?

      Thanks everyone!

          Hey Christian!

          Congrats on your first question

Any decision on how to display your privacy policy should be approved by your legal team. The way I have seen other clients' legal teams interpret this is to add the privacy policy in a link under the form that says something like "FM Systems values your privacy." and links the privacy policy, or just simply putting "Privacy Policy" and the link. l do not understand there to be a requirement for the language to be more specific than that, but you should definitely have your legal team confirm that.
