Hi Jodi - Yes! My database was a disaster. I first organized my data, then I segmentized. I now have 8 persona's that I work with. Due to GDPR (you will need to assess whether it impacts you and your database or not), we have started segmenting our database based on:
- GDPR impacted
- Not GDPR impacted
We have also started segmenting our GDPR impacted further into the 6 Lawful Basis to contact someone:
- Consent for specific purposes
- Contractual necessity
- Controller's legitimate interest
- Controllers bound by legal obligation
- Protect vital interetss
- Public interest, official duty
From those above, both GDPR impacted and not GDPR impacted, we segment them further into the personas/industry/product-service range we are targeting.
