Reporting when using dynamic content and segmentation

Hey all - does anyone have a clean way to report on emails using dynamic content?
My marketing team's preference is to have Email Link perf, Campaign Email Perf, and Email perf reports provided by asset. This means I need create 6 lists, 6 assets and 6 send campaigns.

My preference is to create one asset and target content using segmentation. Support has suggested the only way to do this is through smartlists which seems a bit tedious.


1.) Was sent email and qualifies for segment A
2.) Was sent email and qualifies for segment B
3.) Was sent email and qualifies for segment C
4.) Has opened email and qualifies for segment A
5.) Has opened email and qualifies for segment B
6.) Has opened email and qualifies for segment C
7.) Clicked link in email and qualifies for segment A
8.) Clicked link in email and qualifies for segment B
9.) Clicked link in email and qualifies for segment C
