Enabled Visibility Not Displaying PickList

Trying to create a simple form with one of the fields having visibility rules.

See screen shotScreen Shot 2017-09-22 at 12.25.43 PM.png

The actual rule is pretty straighforward, but it's not coming back with the data in the picklist.

Looking for some guidance here.

And yes...the picklist will show if it's the state code, like AL | AL, CA | CA.  It just will not display in the full format like above.

Re: Enabled Visibility Not Displaying PickList

So the picklist values do not show up when you have the below?

Alabama | AL

Alaska | AK

Sorry, just want to make sure I understand.

Re: Enabled Visibility Not Displaying PickList

Thanks Trevor.

So the if it is in this format

AL | AL

AK | AK

…it will display properly

However, in this format:

Alabama | Alabama

Alaska| Alaska

It will not display at all.

Ok, Thanks!

I would try this format:

Alabama | AL

Alaska | AK

Re: Enabled Visibility Not Displaying PickList

Just as an FYI -- it sounds like you may have done in correctly elsewhere in your testing, but looking at your screenshot of the rule, I wouldn't expect it to work.  There's no stored value set for any of the states, only the Display value.

If it's not working when you input it as

Alabama|Alabama

Alaska|Alaska

Arkansas|Arkansas

etc,

Then there might be something else going on.  But in the screenshot, it's only set up as

Alabama|

Alaska|
Arkansas|

So there's no actual system value assigned to any of the fields that Marketo can set.

Re: Enabled Visibility Not Displaying PickList

For a Visibility Rule-specific picklist, all the values must also exist at the general level.

So at the general field level, the picklist values must be a superset -- all possible values from all VR-specific picklists.
